What the app processes
Your submitted Instagram link goes to the configured backend so it can request publicly accessible video information. The hosted backend uses a shared processing counter, without storing visitor addresses for that counter. A directly hosted local version can keep a one-way network-address hash for up to an hour to enforce connection limits. The app does not store a link history, Instagram passwords, browser sessions or account cookies.
Temporary videos
Successful videos are stored for up to ten minutes, with brief extensions for active downloads. A newer request can replace an inactive file sooner. Files are cleaned periodically and on orderly shutdown; restarts or idle suspension can also remove them. Each video has a random link; anyone with that link can access it until it expires or is replaced. Videos you save remain on your device.
Third parties
The frontend host and backend host process network requests and may retain infrastructure logs according to their own policies. Instagram receives the backend’s source requests. The application does not add analytics, advertising trackers or marketing cookies. Clipboard content is read only when you press Paste and your browser permits it.
Your choices
Use the tool only for content you may download. Avoid sharing temporary video links. If you do not want a link processed, do not submit it. This prototype has no user accounts or personal-data dashboard.
